Mixed Antiglobulin-Haemadherence Test (MAHT) for Platelet Antibodies

Abstract
|
|
|
New mixed antiglobulin haemadherence test (MAHT) has been developed for serum
platelet antibodies. Not-purified antiglobulin serum and Rho red cells coated by anti-D
have been introduced into this test that made it possible to avoid the laborious
procedure for preparation of indicator cells coated by purified antiglobutin.
The MAHT had 100% of sensitivity and 98% of specificity and showed significant
relationship(r=0.83) with platelet suspension immunofluorescence teat in titration of
antibody.
